PhD 1979, MD 1980. Post doc at Nobel Prize laureate Dr. R.J. Lefkowitz, Duke University USA (1981-1983). Docent in Medical Pharmacology Gothenburg University (1983-1992; dept. headed by Nobel Price laureate Dr. Arvid Carlsson). Full professor of Medical Pharmacology Umeå University (1983-1992). Full professor of Pharmaceutical Pharmacology Uppsala University (1992-present). Founder of Melacure Therapeutics AB (1998-2004), Genetta Soft AB (2003-present), Dicotyledon AB (2008-present) and Dicot AB (2015-present). Has about 300 scientific publications many which are published in highly reputed scientific journals, including Nature and Nature Reviews Drug Discovery; originator, author and co-author of many patent families; has served/serves in many boards and committees.

Jacob Westman, MSc, PhD (Chemistry)
PhD 1995. Associate Professor at Stockholm University in 2002. More than 25 years experience from the pharma industry including both large companies such as Kabi and Pharmacia & Upjohn as well as smaller start-ups such as Personal Chemistry (today Biotage), Aprea, Betagenon and Apodemus. Has about 25 scientific publication and is the inventor and co-inventor of more than 35 patent families covering several different types of chemical scaffolds and therapeutic indications. Has taken several compounds from early discovery through preclinical development and into clinical trials.
Lars Jonsson, MD, PhD (Anesthesia & Intensive care)
MD 1978, PhD 1986. Specialist Anesthesia and Intensive Care (1984). Östersund Hospital: Physician (1978-83), Consultant Anaesthesia & Intensive Care (1984-92), Chief Anesthetist (1988-89), Head of Department (1990-92), General Director (1993-98). Senior registrar Uppsala University Hospital (1983-84). Visiting Professor, London, Ontario, Canada (1988). Associate Professor Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Uppsala University, (1991-present). Board Director in several companies such us, Chromogenic Sweden AB (chairman 2002-2005), Innoventus Project and Vertical Wind. General Manager Uppsala University Holding Company (UUAB) (1998-present). Chairman in Forskarpatent AB (Patent Guidance Office), Industrial Liaison Office and IPF Uppsala AB. Involved in 50 start-ups and spin-outs from Uppsala University, including a business incubator and a venture capital company (Innoventus AB, today part of SLS Venture). Advisor to Vice-Chancellor, Uppsala University in Research & Innovation (2006-present).
